But of course the British started it first. Senator Loch of the USA speaks exactly like the British. He says that: "Istanbul must be taken away from the Turks." These ignorant fanatical people, this barbaric nation want to abolish the capitulations as well. Turks will always remain Turks; they will never be Europeanized." This is the reason they won't let us be a member of the EU. But let's spoil this game. Let's turn Turkey into a really modern, high quality, European country. Let's wipe out bigotry. Bigotry is the result of the British politics, the policies of the British deep state. Turning the people of a country into bigots is enough to destroy a country. Then, the country destroys itself anyway. Hatred against women emerges and arts, science, aesthetics cease to be. A traditionalist Orthodox conservative system takes over. And then that state, that nation collapses. This is the secret politics of the British deep state. We can dispose of this politics by arts, science, aesthetics, beauty, quality and being above European standards. In those times, Britain convinced France, which was of the same mind. They got Russia on board as well and together they found the triple entente in 1907. This was one of the first steps of Britain towards its aim of separating the Ottoman Empire.

A Tug of War On November 27, 1922, the Finance and Economic Affairs Commission convened to discuss the capitulations and İsmet Pasha demanded that all the limitations that hindered the economic independence of Turkey be removed. He explained that a country cannot be independent with capitulations and that the situation of the foreigners in Turkey were already guaranteed with general laws that were in place as is the case in all civilized and independent countries, and that Turkish delegation would only accept being in a commission in line with these principles.
